VX3 FOR PROSTECTING???

How does the VX3 do as far as prospecting goes? I am not interested in the GMT detector or the V3i which a few years back I had and did not like all its programs and all its adjustments. I would like to have a variable frequency detector not only for gold detecting but all types of detecting. I would consider the GMT but the frequency is no good for coin and jewelry detecting its to high far as I know and on White web site they said its not recommended for coins and jewelry . Feedback appreciated.
