VX3 first time at park.

took my new vx3 with 10in dd coil to the park for its first run..i like it.. well ive always liked whites machines.. but this is my first v series.. very easy to make adjustments to and runs very smooth even at 15 rx gain. i didnt run it that high but its there if i need it. found a few coins and some trash trying to learn its language. i love the bright screen, easy on the eyes. ...my only complaint is the trigger hits my hand while im detecting...actually it rides against my right index finger...i have very big hands.. other than that its perfect.. does anyone have a fix for the trigger to not ride on my index finger?? dremmel a 1/4 inch off trigger??? anyway have a great night!

Post picture of the hand hitting the trigger and then I'll let you know. You are the first to post this problem, congratulations. ROB

When I hunt I just have my fingertips on the handle, all four, and my finger does not touch the trigger until I'm ready to pinpoint. I don't "hold" the handle with my hand but guide the detector back and forth with the fingertips. The display pod is resting on my hand and the strap keeps the detector on my arm. I can hunt all day with no hand fatigue that way.

well this is it.. this is after i just trimmed 3/16 inch off then added this little rubber boot. its alot better, but would be nice if there were more roome for my hand.. the tek t2se it perfect for me cause trigger is away from handle so hand can fit easily between the trigger and handle.

larry the strap idea sounds great. i will put mine back on.i will see how that feels.. thanks

Yes, and try to relax your hand with your fingers in front of the switch and let the V rest on top of your hand for normal swinging. For competition hunting where I swing as fast as I can, I grip the handle.

The triggers are hollow inside at least mine was so if you whack it down you have a point of entry
for moisture good luck Yazoo

Forgot to say my hand does the same thing but I just leave my trigger finger free like holding a gun . Ready to pull the trigger at anytime . Yazoo

this is my t2se.. handle itself is same size both very comfy...but whites has the trigger a little to close to the handle. i did trim 3/16 in off the trigger then installed rubber sleeve...and it was not hollow inside. feels alot better.
