Vx3 faster than v3i?

Just wondering if that fact that the vx3 runs a simplified watered down version of the v3i software would allow the processor to free up a little bit making it run a little faster than the v3i. If so is there a noticeable difference in the processing speed and performance. Maybe a dumb question but I can't help but wonder.
 
[size=large]No[/size], only the user interface is different. For instance you only can access the 5 and 12.5 filter, but the 7.5 and 10 filters are still there. You can't change the tones but the software to do it is still in the detector, etc.
