VX3 coil question

I bought a used VX3 as a spare detector. The coil it came with is marked DX. Is that a "V rated" coil? Did I get the wrong coil?
 
The coil should have a V on it to be v rated
 
Where is it marked DX and what size is it? The V rated number is stamped on the mounting tab. The only odd V rated marking on know of is some early v rated 12" coils stamped SS.
