Do you have the speaker option turned on in the Audio menu?

I don't have a VX3 menu handy so I don't know if you have that option that we have on the V3i. The VX3 might be automatic switching only between headphone and speaker. If you don't see that option on the headphone audio menu, try turning on/off the headphones manually. It is supposed to go to speaker when the headphones are turned off. You might not have the ability to manually turn the speaker on.

Larry Thanks I fiqured it out the speaker has to be manualy checked after using headphones.I Love this Forum it helps before nerves destroy.

Chapter 8 in your manual. It is explained with words and pictures.

I read chapter 8 on the online manual and I didn't see it, so I just guessed. All is well that ends well.

I didn't realize the Vx3 had an external speaker...:lmfao: Guess I'd better see if mine works!
