I was wondering the v3i and vx3 right of the box without any changes only useing preset programs is the depth the same with the 9.5 coil on both and what would be the difference.

It will depend on the mineralization of your ground as well. In very mineralized ground, the D2 will be deeper. In most ground though, the 950 has the advantage on depth but on the downside, the detection area is much smaller at depth and requires more overlapping than the D2.
