Got bored...Made a video...Sorry for the narrow view. Maybe you'll get some entertainment from it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qc_pi9Nl1zU

the larger coils are naturally going to give more depth.

Yea I love the VX3. Think I'm gonna get an SEF coil for it. All in all I think it's right on par and I'm sure if I played with the adjustments more I could get better responses. But it's just as deep as any of the Fishers, you just have to know how to use it. Honestly I wouldn't sell any of the three.

Turn your phone sideways and it will fill the screen

I have no trouble with these kind of videos if all detectors are set for optimum. In order to run tests the operator needs equal skills with all the detectors, and then there is the difference in coil sizes.

My V3I is deeper than my CZ6a in my soil . Videos are work, thanks.

I thought I was pretty skilled with my machines. Guess I'm wrong.

I never said you where not sklled with your machines. I said a person should be equally skilled on the various machines when doing comparisons. If you used stock C/J and Hi Pro programs the VX3 is not running optimum. I was commenting on doing comparison videos, that's all.

If for intertainment it was OK, as a comparison video it was flawed. That is all I indicated, no more.

I agree, and even though I run a V3i and not a VX3, just making the VX run in the 5-band filter, as was exhibited in part of the video but not quite extensively IMO, adds a lot of optimum back into the VX3. Default filter is 12.5, correct? Add to that, the 950 coil on a fresh buried dime at anywhere close to 9 inches, stretches the 950 a bit compared to the compared other larger coils. I think that the relic program woulda been a far better comparitive, especially if the 5-band filter woulda been selected.

To me? The VX3 wasn't optimized in this case. martin

Totally understand Rob. I meant that I still have a lot to learn on the VX3 and that I am not skilled with it. Sorry about that didn't mean to come off that way. I am still trying to figure out how all the settings play together on the VX3. I'm not worried about moving the video. Not sure why it was though?

Brand comparisons are not allowed on brand specific forums. The Metal detecting Forum is considered a neutral forum and is allowed here.

Yep, I wasn't sure either. Now I know.
