Just assembled my new Vision, fired it up and went into audio to turn down the speaker volume a bit (ok, a lot). It seems that 48 is the lowest it will go. I sure hope I'm missing something obvious.
Call whites they are "THE BEST COMPANY" to deal with if you have a problem , most likely they will want you to send it back. I have the same problem 48 is too loud for my ears, sent mine in yesterday I can't use my ear plugs any longer. This is going to be one of the best machines out there so just hang on.
but if you want to use the wireless you could shift sound from one ear and then take the louder ear cup off your ear a bit ......this is possible work thru but not a permanent fix mind you......I use wired phones with volume control not a factor for me as of yet.....But thingkining about your problem and the fear of some one sneaking up on you it is always good to keep your good ear for detecting and the other one to the ground for rattlers and snakes with 2 feet
Take a look at the Back order thread below. There is supposed to be a fix coming. Carl said he was going to make an announcement, but it has not come. Not yet anyways. Maybe Good Friday had something to do with the delay.
Wow!
Soon after my message was posted, which was well after business closing hours, I was contacted by White's management. This is a company that cares about customer satisfaction, and they have already arranged to take care of the issue. I have to say that this is the best customer service I have received from ANY company.
Thanks White's, and thanks forum members for all of the suggestions.
