Volume controls on the BHID300 and Dual PI

Does anyone know why Whites puts the volume adjustment inside these machines ? Also, if anyone is using them, did you have to adjust the volume up or down from the preset ?

As all of you probably know, when you hunt the beach, it could be calm and quite, or rough and windy, and based on those conditions, it's much easier to adjust the volume on my units due to the extermal control.

I am thinking about the BHID300 or Dual Field, but this has be guessing since I don't want to have to continue opening up the control box to adjust the volume.

I know you are the pioneer for using the 12 inch on the BHID. I was just a little concerned, that's all. Since we have lots of beaches here in NJ that are iron ridden, lots of times my PI is useless.

I have a DFX and CZ6a, both dual freq but not water proof, as well as an Excal, but I like the 3 tone and lights of the BHID, plus the ID in all metal. I have used the Super 12 on my DFX with great success in the wet and dry sand, but don't go close to the water for fear of frying it....hence me in the market for a BHID or possibly CZ21.

CZ21 ? forget about it its like holding a brick BHID 300 is the one buy your self a straight rod and your well balanced, just use the padding for your ears and wola ! a great machine.

If the DFX works on your beach the BHID should do as well since they are the same unit

Test units on your beaches not all detectors work equal on all beaches
