Ok, i have my first 'niggle' with the MMK (or mine anyway..looking to hear from other owners).. i took my mkk out in the rain(without headphones, dont have waterproof ones) and there was a decent wind.. i found with the volume cranked to 10, it wasnt what i was used to (even compared to the impact, it was weaker).. i wasnt missing targets, but i was thinking, gee, it could be a little stronger sounding..anyone else have a similar experience? (oh, was hunting in di3,volume 10,gain 50 (was at a school and it was getting emi from the inverter aircons, so i had to back it to 50), disc 15,factory defaults everything else in 14khz))

i must also add, it wasnt very deep at 50 gain, a few times i had to click down to di 4 at gain 70 to verify or amplify targets ..i dont think this thing is as deep as my impact, but thats not a bad thing..i cant hunt in pouring rain with my impact either..pound for pound i think it loses out to the impact(except for its waterproofing, of course)..

so far, very happy as it seems exactly what i wanted..a baby impact with waterproofing AND better ergonomics..so far, so good!:twodetecting:

For me ( being old ) haha in gen the threshold is very weak. The target ping in all modes are loud but what I would call mellow or pleasing to the ear.JMHO

I have a few mins. Before leaving for work so i tested the Kruzer against my one of my other popular detector's, both at max volume.

I though the audio on both was close to being the same.

I noticed that too.
On videos the sound without earphones seemed odd or squeaky.
When I used mine with earphones the sounds were very good.

Yes...it is a bit "squeaky" sounding...kinda puny. But I use headphones most of the time and they sound good with them.

oh good, im not the only one, thought it was just me...yeah, i know it will be better with phones, just it was raining and no phones to use..but i also hunt a lot without phones, i wasnt expecting,"hear you coming down the road', garrett type volume, but a little better, would have been nice..all that a side, im still very impressed with what it is,and its value for money:clapping:

I noticed that it was not as full sounding and definitely harder to “ x pinpoint” without headphones. I used it on a windy day without headphones and didn’t feel like it was overly quiet.

On a side note, my Eurotech Pro on volume 1 is as loud as most detectors on 80%.
