VLF or PI ????

Depends on where you are hunting.

VLF for fresh water and land is a good choice. I had a 1280X for 17 years and it was awesome in fresh water lakes and on land.

PI if you are doing saltwater wet beach areas. Pi is also just a bit deeper almost everywhere.

I know this is a Fisher forum, but White's TDI is a great PI that also has to a degree an ability to discriminate iron and trash. I traded the 1280X in on a TDI. No regrets so far.
