VLF guy going Pulse

Hello all. I just purchased a XL 500 pulse.I have never used a pulse machine before.I have been using VLF's for 20 yrs.I purchased this for salt water (Florida) surf/beach hunting. Any words of wisdom for this machine? sweep speed, pinpointing, settings? I know this is older PI tech, but it also comes with the 13"coil that I hope will give me more depth.(once I figure out the stock coil) I know I will be digging tons of junk,I already zip tied a magnet in my sand scoop. I am giving surf hunting another shot,I tried for a few years with a CZ20 and my finds were no better than dry sand hunting. Thanks for any info.

Depending on the beach or for that matter what the waves brought in on that particuliar day PI units usually excell in these conditions..Expect to do a lot of digging however and in any case thats where the gold jewelry is and your odds go up in this enviroment. Years ago hunted NJ beaches with a land CZ with excellent results but understand in many areas even a CZ won't hack the wet sand salt areas...
