Dug tons of trash to find this...hard learning this machine after having VDI # for all of my 20 years of hunting

Please keep us updated. I'm thinking this machine could really help dig those deeper civil war bullets and buttons. Thanks for the post.

I may be thinking of selling it if you are in the US.I have a few more tests to run in some trashy areas. If I do sell it I will sell it for a good price and it would have been used only a few times. I am not sure if I can get used to not having a display

Ok more testing then I'lll let you know.

I dig near everything, crap the lot bar big iron, anything can alter the audio so I just dig dig dig and reap the rewards for doing so, but understand we are all different

Yep, I currently hunt with an E-Trac which arguably has one of the best VDI systems out there and I still dig every single conductive signal I swing over. So many desirable objects fall into the "trash" categories. So, hunting without a VDI will really not make a difference to me. Like Ziggy, I am a big believer in dig it all.

for me on a trashy site it can get depressing to dig all the trash. I do hunt sites that have history on them so you know you are going to find relics in the gold country and some site let me come home with a pocket full of sweet finds. The Gain just makes me dig even more trash when I get tired I want to be a bit more selective and a VDI helps me a bit...but I think maybe sites that are a bit cleaner are better for me and the gain and maybe heavy trash sites I'll clean with my impact...just have to change my thinking on this machine...

That is basically my thinking. I don't intend for the VGG to be my go to machine for every site. I want it for going after those hidden and deep targets at my Civil War and colonial sites and also for my parks and yards that I have "cleaned" out of targets and trash. I am like you as after hunting for 4-6 hours digging it all, I usually do switch over to my trashy park program on my E-Trac just to take it easy and cherry pick. However, I really do enjoy digging the trash targets and ending up finding something awesome in the hole instead. HH

Thinking of selling the Vista Gold Gain with two coils I have a few others that have contacted me so I'll consider who gets back to me first but I'm not in a big hurry..the gold country doesn't offer enough hunts with bad iron and this is where this machine shines. Better I think for civil war hunting rather than gold country hunting
