Visiting Louisiana

I'm from Alaska and I am visiting Louisiana. I have my newly purchased MXT with me and wondering if there are any clubs, groups, or individuals in the area that I could join to do some detecting? I am in Marrero which is on the west side of the river from New Orleans.
 
with you. I'm in Baton Rouge. Unfortunately I'm going to be tied up most of Dec. How? long You going to be in the area?
 
We will be in and out of Marrero until March or April when we head back to Juneau, AK. Planning some drives east, might be fun to try the beaches in Florida. I'll keep in touch.

We have some family commitments until the first of the year. One of our commitments has us in Gulf Shores, AL Dec19 to about Dec28. I will get to detect a bit but most sand has been relocated since the hurricanes. I'll post in Jan. John sherryreeves@yahoo.com
