Visit to a neighborhood duck pond...............

Kinda boring around the old house today, tired of doing chores so I decided to grab my Canon SX10is point & shoot bridge camera and go take a few pictures at a small duck pond located at the entrance to a neighborhood near us. I usually use my Sony DSLR, but this was to be a quick trip, a few pictures, then back home again. The pond was not busy, just one little girl there with her parents, and she was feeding the ducks some pieces of stale bread.

While taking the pictures, one mean tempered long neck duck decided he was going to attack and bite me. That ended the picture taking session and I came home. Next time I go to that duck pond, I will take a broom handle with me for protection against that foul tempered duck.

This camera will produce some nice pictures, but my Sony DSLR produces much better pictures when using old Minolta lenses. Kelley (Texas) :)

These turtles were having a great time out in the sun light.

These are pictures of the ill tempered long neck duck that wanted to bite me.

Nice duck photos Kelley. I have been meaning to take some pics of the ones living at my college... will have to take some now.;):)

I still do not understand why that duck had such a mean disposition. In the near future, I will be going back to that duck pond and I will take some stale bread with me to feed that nasty, hateful duck. Maybe this will convince him to leave me alone so that I can take a few more pictures there. Between you and me, that fat duck needs to be on someone's dinner table. Kelley (Texas) :)

 Yeah, ducks and geese can be mean. Either mean or they beg for food it seems. HH and GL
