VISION Programs

Has anyone used all the programs the Vision has to offer yet and if so do you have a favorite. I just reciently got into the high pro and it is really power packed. The SLQ was found in High Pro and after just hitting a 14k band in reg coin/jewl I would think I would have hit the quarter. I went back a week later in Hi Pro and pulled the quarter at 80VDI. When I find a gold ring I really get excited and start pulling everything and cant see how I missed the SLQ is there something in the high pro that would make the detector more powerful? I know there is a report on all the programs here which I think is wonderful and am going to go over tonight but in the mean time looking for an easier softer way.

Hi Sarah

I quickly set in on the Hi-Pro mode also, and noticed my coin finds jump dramatically . I like to lower the recovery delay to about 30 in trashy sites. I am currently playing around with a 2.5k single frequency version of Hi-Pro and if I am successful I might post my results.

I think the 2.5 kHz would work great when discriminating large old silver. This is something I wanted to try as well if I don

Hi Pro kicks butt. Definately My favorite if you have good ground and like to sweep slow the 5 hz Band will get you alittle more depth

I am another Hi-Pro user, probably 95% of the time...and I run it as hot as possible ALL the time. I usually back it off only if I am experiencing alot of instability.

Can someone fill me in on why, in the analyze screen, this program does not show the vertical lines for target "size" as the other programs do?

HH to all here:twodetecting:

There is an option in the analyze controls that allows you to enable or disable the markers.

expert menu/configure/live search screen/analysis/sizing/mark target

Thanks for the info. I'll check that out. I wonder why this feature would have been disabled for Hi-Pro right out of the box? No biggy, now that I know I can "turn it on".

The person that made that program apparently didn't like markers :). It is a program that he uses and it is therefore set up for his preferences. The others were mostly set up with pretty common settings that were tweaked here and there depending on the purpose. But, it's also a good program to have as an example of things that can be done (as well as working well for many) - changing colors, different settings on various displays, just to show that there are other options that you can set that you wouldn't otherwise see.

Bob@ Whites - rcsnake wrote the Hi Pro progam. He wrote it was set up for his hunting style. He said,"This is why I usually turn the ruler off as I am more interested in the actual waveform and will set the Rate to where it makes a nice curve with a coin being a target". Rob

Thanks again for the excellent info. Always helpful!
