I just tried to connect to the X Change 2 program to download universal setting changes and received a virus threat warning. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a valid warning? Did you proceed? Thanks, Terry in San Diego

It is your antivirus software you have on your computer, alot of them view this program as an intrusion, you wil be fine...

In a previous XChange2 download, my BitDefender virus protection indicated a problem downloading due to what it determined to be a Gen:Variant.Barys.2211 "virus". However, in that instance, we were able to determine that it was nothing more than a false positive response. I suspect this is the same circumstance as BitDefender is known to recognize unfamiliar digit strings as malware. HOWEVER, I'm not going to tell anyone to do the download without knowing exactly what it is that causes your PC to register the update as a malware virus. I'm only saying, if you are using BitDefender, that may be the situation. In the meantime, I've contacted Minelab to notify them of the circumstances. And, I will report back as information becomes available. HH Randy

The 2211 number sure sounds familiar, but to be honest I was out of there so fast I don't know for sure. I am going to try again when my son is around as he knows this stuff. I will let you know.
