Hello everyone! We are from WV, will be coming to va beach April 24th-29th. Was wondering if anyone could tell me about the rules (if there are any) for metal detecting at VA Beach?? My hubby has a detector and is wanting to use it on the beach for the first time! I was reading the posts and think he is going to have a good time there. Any hints tips for him would be really appreciated. He has a poineer EX detector (Walmart version that our daughters saved up for and bought him, not the best unit, but it does work) He has found several coins around our house with it. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!! Nicole J.

Hi Nicole,
Great, just get out on the beach and have a blast. No state parks or federal lands, but most public parks and school playgrounds and beach are allowed.
