I went out looking for a place to hunt today and ran into a man that wanted to know what I was looking for. I ask him if he knew of the old park area I was looking for and he said no. We talked for a while and he said he would like for me to hunt his house, built in the 30s but the area is old. I said sure,... To make a long story short I only hunted about two hours tops and got all this stuff. Most of it was 3 inches or less. The Indian was half an inch! Wheats are in the teens and 20s, 1900 Indian, 1918D merc, and a 1896 Canadian dime. A few other relics also. The BIG gold ring I got last night at the local park. Came in a solid 48 and the Red 7.5 band was dominate. It is 14K. I put it next to the quarter for size. Cant wait to get back there and hunt more. Its about two acres.
Sorry so short but I have a hunting trip for tomorrow and got to get up early.
Thanks for looking!

Man I wish I could have been there. You did good. Rob

You have done it again...:clapping: and here I was happy with two wheats today. 1925 and 1935.... Time to go back and dig all those redband dominant zinc pennies:stars:

Man! If I dug all the solid 48s in the park I hunt,I'd be busy for a very long time.

Thats a good question! I may be wrong but from what I have found is that the gold you find that is a lesser grade such as 10k and 14k come in with the red 7.5 band dominate because it is less pure. Other gold such as 22k and 24k come in on the blue 22.5 band as dominate. I think target size may also play a factor in this.

By the way, I dont have a Canadian coin book? Does anyone know what this dime is worth?

Fantastic day of hunting.................

Only 650,000 minted. None minted in 1895 or 1897. Vg - 8 $12.00, F - 12 $22.00, Vf - 20 40.00. and that is out of a 3 year old price guide. This guide doesn't list anything for good condition. but yours looks pretty nice from the back. I hope that gives you a ball park idea. Very nice finds Magic.

The gold coming in @ 7.5 I believe is because of it being more pure.
The lesser gold, 10K and suck comes in @ 22.5. like cheaper wedding bands.
Take a $20 gold coin and it hits a solid 73 with 2.5 as the dominant freq. (have been able to test these).
I posted a real old wheathered gold band a month or so ago and got allot of static that it was not real gold due to hitting 53 and @ 7.5 red. Ended up having it tested and came back somewhere between 14K and 18K.
I have a 1/10 gold 22K U.S. coin and it hits Mid 30's and 7.5 red as dominant.
I would dig anything close to this if I know there is not aluminum around or if the signal is 5" deep or more. Chances are it's gold.
Awesome finds.

Nice finds, Magic!
