Vintage film camera lenses used on a DSLR camera............

If you want to have some inexpensive fun, you might want to think about buying an old lens or two and doing some experimenting. You might be surprised at the quality of the pictures produced using the old, vintage lens. Below is a picture of a telephone pole that is my testing pole when I get a new lens. I use this telephone pole on all my testing of lenses so that I can get a good comparison between any two lenses. This test picture was from a mint condition Minolta AF 100-200mm F3.5 lens, manufactured in 1987, that I bought on eBay for $55.00 which included shipping. Please note that the lens was designed for a Minolta film camera and is full frame. Very little photo editing was done on this picture. Talk about sharpness, look at the bolts, and other features of this picture. Needless to say, this lens will be getting some use. How about it folks, you might want to try one of these older, vintages lenses yourself, you might just be surprised at the quality picture it will produce for you. Kelley (Texas) :)

Picture taken with a Sony A200 DSLR using a Minolta 100-200mm lens, F7.1, 1/250, ISO 100, Manual Mode, Histogram.
