Videos on Simplex

I am pretty sure iv watched every video on the Simplex. The majority led me to my decision to buy one. But you must know how to weed out the junk! I watched a video yesterday where the guy was complaining that the Simplex was too chattery in a yard, near the road surrounded by power lines. As I was listening to him complain every time he dug a target I happen to catch his screen settings. He had the Sensitivity to max! Seriously, he continues to say I hope Nokta t addresses this issue. Ummm you need to decrease your sensitivity. He also complained that his pro pointer was causing alot of interference despite shifting frequency. Again, turn down your sensitivity! I found that one bar down from max sens and F3 solved the pinpointer issue. I heard a little bit of noise but nothing erratic. I don't mean to rant but Don't knock a product if you don't use it properly.

I agree with Sataro. I also have a problem with folks requesting oddball additions to the detector like a clock function. Really? Its a 300 dollar detector, way under priced in my opinion. Personally I'd rather not see a bunch of upgrades to this awesome machine since I own a Kruzer and it looks like I will have a hard enough time selling that to upgrade to a Simplex. Yeah you saw that right. I was at Pound the Ground and the Simplex was hitting targets my Kruzer could not.

Hands on will beat any YouTube video!

I have had the Multi Frequency detectors .. It just seems to spend more time switching frequency and tones than detecting .. I have found as much with the turn on and go detectors ..
I think the most important thing is .. Ground balance... The separating of targets .. 3/4 Sensitivity .. Slow down the sweep speed
I had one detector it seemed you had to push 5 + buttons before you could get the coil to the soil

The only addition I've ever wished for was the discriminator. In 1976 that happened for me!
When a line was drawn between ferrous and non-ferrous that's all I needed and the case still holds
true.
I think I could do as well with my Troy Shadow X5 (Deep) or Tesoro Vaquero in the relic woods
I love to hunt so much.
Extras, bells and whistles, tones, VDI, etc. are nice but the ability to tell the Fe from the Non-Fe was
for me the game changer!
I do own the XP Deus, ORX, Nox, Simplex, Nautilus, and a few more but bottom line is I dig what beeps knowing it's non-ferrous
and has potential!

Want to add I have tested the Simplex and am very impressed with it, very impressed!

You are correct, don't knock a product when you don't know how to operate it. I have the Simplex and it is a well built detector that will keep up with detectors cost 4 times as much.
