I got my hands one a tone id mod, installed it along with my disc mod. I have had great results and just wanted to share them.

I watched both your videos on the XL PRO. Have great interest in these mods. can both be installed? Or is it one or the other? Where do I get these mods and do you install them? What would be the cost? I like the idea of the multi-tone . But I think I would really like the discrimination and ground balance mod. Sent you a P.M. !

Hi Craig. Thanks for checking out my videos.

The parts for either mod cost me $100. I have never thought about putting them in for anyone else, but I can and would be willing.

The soldering requires special equipment, a drill press etc. It takes a couple hours to put each on in as it is tricky (and I am a perfectionist) , but yes you can do both.

I have a machine on eBay right now that has both mods done.

I am not getting much interest in it, might pull it back off and just sell it by itself without all the goodies to go with it.

I figure it's worth about $50 per mod (labor) ,not including shipping.

Here is the one on eBay, it's the same machine in the videos.
But it also has some pictures if you want to see it better.

Item number: 230332669753 (search on this number)

Take care, -Ken

If anyone needs the multitone mod done to their XL-Pro, I can do it. I have an extra 3.0 kit(the latest) right now and would like to see someone get some use out of it. I have done 5 of them so far here in the US and everyone is super happy with them. Just PM me.

Sorry, I no longer have any kits. I will install your kit if you have one though.

Another interesting video, geb norm, 5.3 coil, multitone kit.

I recently purchased the tone mod for my Pro but felt my shaky hands would create problems during installation, I contacted (d1g1man) aka Ken Finley after reading that he would install the mod for 50.00 plus shipping, he did the installation with a 48 hour turn around. His work is superb and the mod is much better than I expected, he even refunded my overpayment for return shipping.

If you decide to modify your Pro you can contact (digiman) through the forum or email him at kenfinley@suddenlikk.net
