Video of the V3i on a deep SL quarter

Southwind

Well-known member
Shot a video of how the V3i hit on a standing liberty quarter about 8" deep. I had a tough time trying to shoot the video and swing the detector. I need a good arm camera stand.

I have a few questions on your settings Southwind. Are you rejecting +94 and +95? What is your recovery Delay and frequency? What is your All Metal set at? Thanks for posting the videos. It looks as though you are wrapping a bit. It's tough to shoot and swing. Let me know if you come up with a good mount. I am looking for something as well. Thanks

I would love to watch the whole dig......

I do have the recovery on video but I shy away from posting it on Youtube. I did a full recovery video awhile back that wasn't very pretty. The end results was fine where you couldn't tell I was there, but the recovery went bad due to very dry and loose soil that just fell apart when I tried to plug. I had a couple people who focused just on the bad recovery taking away the reason for the video. I tried to explain it was a bad example but I wanted people to see the full dig, but it didn't help and they even used some of my other recovery videos to tell me I should use them to learn from LOL.

Are you rejecting +94 and +95?
Yes
What is your recovery Delay and frequency? What is your All Metal set at?
Recovery Delay = 70 Frequency = 3 Offset = +5 Rx = 12 Disc = 85 AM = 95

The ground at this park is very trashy mostly iron. You can see the iron causing the red on the right of the bars.

I want to note that this coin was first found by my hunting buddy John(silveringold). We alway check each others signals and say what we think it is. It helps us to better learn our machines and adds a little fun. We both felt this was most likely a silver quarter.

Thats why when I post a video I make it where all comments have to be approved by me first. This way you can weed out the negative ones.

Sorry, by frequency I was meaning, are you using Best Data or Correlate? It looks as though the target is wrapping when the +94 and +95 are showing red. Was there something else in the hole?

I was using Best Data. When I try Correlate in this park everything reads in the 30's. There is lots of iron trash all over so you can pretty much be assured there is iron around every target which I think is the reason for the iron wrap-around/Red on the right of bars. On the dime video I did you can see it was a lot cleaner area with pretty solid, for the park, bars.

This park played host to a Mexican Bullfight back in 1884. Grandstands and pens were built and then tore down just for this event. That and 128 years of normal park use has really littered this place with iron.

Correction on John's board name. It's goldnsilver
