Digging a 1914 Barber: http://youtu.be/R6EO-rp5z3A

every other recovery that I filmed yesterday was either a wheat cent or trash ugh

nice video Gary

Nice find. You gotta love getting a 7" target with a 13-45 in an old field. Is that a plastic ice cream scoop you used to recover it? Good idea if it is.

It was nice to hear! Yes, that is my famous ice scream scoop target retrieval tool. I have two more in the car as spares since they are only a couple bucks to each at Kmart. They are made of that extremely tough plastic and last forever (until I lose them). It is great because you can pinpoint right through them so you know if you have a target out of the hole, and they have a rather sharp edge to do a bit of digging, plus since they are made of plastic there is less a chance of target damage.

It definitely saves wear and tear on your gloves, fingernails, and even for safety purposes there is less a chance of being sliced by something.

My other cool add on is the little led light taped to the Uniprobe pinpointer, because you know even on those bright summer days it can be hard to see to the bottom of those deep holes we have to dig sometimes...

I just watched the video myself. It is amazing how crisp and clear the video is (after I set the camera down) considering it is from my Android phone which is the Samsung Galaxy S3....

That was a nice "scoop" there.

Great work!

NIce Dig, I like the way silver comes out...clean...Thanks for sharing...

I'll take two scoops of silver please.

How does that 17" coil swing?

How does it compare to the stock coil as far as depth. It should really cover some ground in a hurry.
Put some thought into getting one but trying to save for a Etrac to back up my CTX.

Good hunting to ya.

Nice video and find! Thanks for posting it.

Thanks for sharing,, Great find, its always exciting to see silver, even if your watching it on video

Gary what do you use for filming?

that is simply from my samsung s3, and one of those Joby camera stands

Great video and find.

Great find and pretty good quality. The ice cream scoop probably helps to not scratch the target like a hand shovel would.
