Randy Speers. They have made several videos and spent much time trying to save some wild rivers here.

is just not my cup of tea....hitting one of those rocks in the middle of the creeks could really hurt you bad. That is some beautiful country in that video. Kelley (Texas) :)

Before we got cable up here I had dialup and got fed up with it so I canceled it and just went up to the library every day to check the story forum and my email.

I just ordered a Vado HD camera to play with

http://us.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=833&subcategory=834&product=18108

I paid 129 for it and if anyone goes to Youtube and does a search on it they will see many examples of the quality of video you can get with the little thing. It is about the size of an ipod.

When the videos are watched just click on the HD icon and they will be shown in high res. It seems to be an amazing little video camera. It should be here this week. I sure wish I had had it when I was out there visiting you.

Anyone heard any good news about Linda?? How is Alice doing?

She is .....okay. Frustrated at the lack of progress in abating her pain... but otherwise well. She sees a new specialist in Sept, I think.

Alice is doing much better. One more check up on her hip and, with any luck, that should be it. She did take a CORE course [for her B.C. Hunting license} this past weekend. Made it with flying colours. :): She can now be my partner.

We went to Nakusp for a checkout of the beach after the music festival. Did not find a lot, although I did find and return a fellows wallet. Alice spent about an hour detecting the shallow water. So , things are looking better.

Fair winds
