Video from todays hunt

This was at a local park. Ground is almost too hard to dig. Going to have to switch to water hunting until we get some rain. I got a new camera and filmed on the lower quality setting. The video did not come out too good. I will have to use a higher quality setting next time.

Great video 9" Sliver. I won't say they can watch and be surprised bone dry ground in a trashy park way to go I love my CTX congrats!!!!

WTG on that barber your ground you like my ground here in Indiana dry as a bone and the CTX is getting those deep coins:twodetecting::minelab::cheers:

Enjoyed going on the hunt with you. That barber dime looks to be in very good condition, fine detail, nice find. You guys need rain in a bad way, dirt is mighty dry. What kind of digger are you using, need to get one of those? HH

Great video Bill. Thanks for showing us how the digging tool worked too, especially on that Barber dime. I may have to get one of those. It scoops the dirt pretty well. I noticed you usually had to use two hands to dig with, though. I would like to see a little knob or T-handle affixed to the end of that thing to aid in getting it into hard ground.

The digger is a Predator Raptor model 31. I think I am done digging until we get some rain. Probably not good for the grass to be digging in that dry of conditions.

Thanks Bill. Always enjoy your videos. I'm glad you are trying the CTX again...

Nice recovery Bill. Thanks for making a video of your hunt. Pulling a Barber dime from 9 inches in dry soil should be very encouraging to those who've not been out with their CTX 3030 yet. Thanks for posting. HH Randy

A Barber at 9" - Fantastic. Glad to see you still have your CTX 3030.

good vid.. I am seeing a lot of deeper coins in dry ground.. I actually think the CTX is better in dry ground than my other detectors.. including my E-Trac... it seems the dry ground doesn't hinder it like it does the others.. just my observations so far...

great video Bill, thanks for sharing. if you would in future videos could you announce the numbers that you are digging as it is hard to see what they are one the video. nice find !! HH

Really nice video Bill! I enjoyed that. My girlfriend, watching over my shoulder, commented on you well done holes. ehehe

I noticed you were running your intensive disc pattern like on the E-Trac. You can hardly see it as the CTX has the disc areas really light (would be nice if we could darken things). I actually didn't realize the second detect screen had one line of disc at the bottom and was wondering why I was getting so many nulls. :crylol:

My first and only hunt thus far, I went right back to the spot I had hunted the hardest with my T2 and Omega. Dead center from the two hardest hit areas I pulled two targets, 4" and 7" with a fair amount of iron. I'm very happy with the performance of the machine.

Thanks for the video Bill

The ground here in southeast Missouri is hard as concrete as well. We did get a little rain and I was able to get out for about an hour the other day. I was hitting coins up to 9 inches deep but after 2 inches it was literally like concrete, needed a chisel. I finally gave up and just focused on shallow quarters and left the deep stuff for a another time when the ground is moist enough to dig.
