whats the best unit in the 3-4 hundred dollar range ? , I am looking for somethig easy to use without a ton of useless features . I just want to capture my kids school play, and some of him blasting around on his motorcycle . He is growing up too fast and its going to be over before I realize it, I feel in this day and age it would be a shame for me not to tape some of this priceless stuff .......

I believe it fits into your price range....its a cassette, plentyof zoom, it takes DIGITAL STILL pictures too (ok quality)....i believe in the price range youre talking about they all have the bells and whistles you dont want.
Check it out....and you can download the film into your computer and make it a DVD.
