VibraProbe 570 makes my Cortes and Vaquero

chatter loud up to 4 feet away. And the probe takes a full minute to shut itself off, that means I have to wait one minute to start swinging after using it. Last year I had the model 560 and don't remember getting any chatter from that one.

Ouch!!!!! Is it directional? ... like if the vibraprobe is pointed away from the coil is it better?

Less chatter when pointed away 180 degrees, but when I put it in the holster it's pointing down and the detector goes crazy till it shuts itself off.

Not good. Only pin pointer I have tried is a Harbor Freight one. Goes about 1.5 inches deep and is only on when a push button is held down. Only beeps, doesn't vibrate, isn't water proof. Will set off detector if I set detector down too close with coil in wrong direction.

I have had the same problem using my Vibraprobe 560 with several machines including Tesoro, Garrett, Minelab and Troys. I also have a tinytec probe which has not given me this problem at all. I wonder if the Vibraprobe being a PI type is the cause...

with the 5.75 coil on my Vaq I don't get the interference, but I do with the standard coil using the 560

Check out the new one by Garrett. It doesn't have that problem.

I have the 560 and 570 and the only chatter I get with my Cortes is if I have it close to the coil. I holster it on the left, and use my right hand for swinging the detector. I don't have the problems you describe.

I use the Treasure Mate or a Merlin. The Treasure Mate will make the detector talk if it's pretty close, but the Merlin hasn't caused a problem. Both turn off immediately when thru, also.
