Vibra Probe 580

Would like to hear what anyone using the Vibra Probe 580 thinks of it. What's typical depth on coins etc.?
Thanks,
BB

Hello,
I use it under water and in my floating sifter. Can't beat it to pinpoint stuff because it only registers metal from the tip intead of having the entire tube and tip hot. Distance is a moot point for me. My Tiger Shark and Excal are for the depth!

Best regards,
Steve

My interest is partly due to the underwater ability but I am curious about average depth on land when using it for coin shooting in parks etc.

I have one and I like it very much. No switch to worry about crapping out on you. The holster is great for access. No worries about moisture. Easy to clean. No annoying loud tones. Easy to use with headphones on. If depth is all you are worried about get the Pistol Probe. I like the the fact that the detection is tip only. If I had to guess on the depth I would say 2". I think that it gets a little more depth in the soil than it does in the air. Maybe being Pulse Induction has something to do with it.

Thanks, depth isn't my major concern, but so many of the pinpointers available are pretty puny past an inch. I like the idea of the only the tip being sensitive and the water proofness as well.

I have a vibra probe 560 which is my backup probe. I use a whites bullseye as my primary. I like the Vibra probe and get 1 to 2 inches but it causes interference with my main detector the Tesoro DeLeon. I like that I do not have to adjust anything. I would see if you can borrow one and if it interferes with you detector before deciding.

We ALWAYS use Vibra Probes...Again, mostly due to the actual "point". Also, works well for verifying very shallow targets without having to dig. I figure they're good to about 2".

Kinda like an American Express card..."Don't leave home without it".

Thanks for the replys - covers what I wanted to learn.
