Doubt it's ever going to happen to me again. Went to visit my Mother November 4th. Planned on a hunt on the way home. My brother suggested I hunt this ball field that's right along the way. Told him I was in there about a couple of months ago and hardly any targets. Don't know why, but I turned in there anyway. Well after around twenty minutes hunting the left side of the field. Finding just a few tabs, and can slaw. Not even a penny. Working the end of a pass out in Left/center, near the fence, my Infinium hits a nice nickel signal. Cut about a 4"plug, seen the yellow. A 14K Gold band. Only about a size 5 but real nice shape. Hunted another 20 minutes or so and never got anything else except a little trash. A one find hunt and it's a Gold ring !
Talking to a guy. He thinks a hunter or a few hunters were tipped off about that lost ring and vacuumed the place. Was it the one I found? I'd bet. Anyway that field is wiped out for a long while.
