Myself and a friend have gotten permission for a very promising site in southeastern Massachusetts. It's a house lot that has a long history. I've only eyeballed finds so far, but everything I've seen so far is pontilled or pontil-age. I have found a partial onion bottle, two stringed lips, several mallet lips, a flared lip fragment, several pontilled bases, four of which are very ornate flint glass drinking glasses, other bases including some sand chip pontilled, one iron pontilled and several open pontilled. So far no whole bottles but they are there ... the lot is being graded and a stone liner is partially exposed (frags in the vicinity of the stone liner are younger than the pics posted). The site is littered with very early stuff. We have also found the typical pottery frags, pipe stems, etc. We're going to take this site extremely slow as there's really no rush to dig it out now, and the homeowner is enthusiastic about the dig. So stay tuned![attachment 73710 shards1.jpg][attachment 73711 shards2.jpg][attachment 73712 shards3.jpg][attachment 73713 shards4.jpg][attachment 73714 shards5.jpg][attachment 73715 shards6.jpg]
