I posted yesterday saying that I was having a lot of problems with hunting trashy areas Well.... I found the reason behind all of these false signals. I took the coil cover off just to see if there was something wrong with my coil, and there must have been a 1/4 inch of dirt in there!!!
hunted for a little while with the cover off! and worked like a charm, no more chatter, just clear targets! I was starting to think that maybe there was something wrong with my detector!
I guess it's time to go back to the last few "trashy" sites I have been to!!!

Right on Silver. I've had the same problem at the beach, getting wet salty sand in between my cover and the coil and it plays hell with your detctror. Read the first post on this forum from Guvener about this and I think we'll both agree on this. Keep sending posts on your finds and stuff. I love to hear about whats going on with other detectorists.:|
