WHEN THE CALL CAME TO GET OUT OF NEW ORLEANS, ONE 82 YR.OLD LADY GOT HER PARASOL,"UMBRELLA" ,AND PURSE AND WALKED ALL THE WAY ACROSS TOWN TO I 10.GOT HER A RIDE TO BATON ROUGE..IF SHE COULD THE OTHERS COULD ALSO..I THINK IT'S LIKE BEING A CHRISTIAN..EVERYONE WILL HEAR THE WORD BUT VERY FEW WILL BELEIVE...GOD BLESS YOU MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS...HENRY

God gives us all the choice... to believe in Him or to live a life without his provision and grace. A lot of people "Chose" not to heed the warnings and are now paying the price. My heart goes out to those displaced.

I agree. I would have walked, hitched, hopped a freight or something. Many stayed because they were afraid of loosing worldy goods. Too Bad as some died for them. Others stayed to take part in stealing their worldy possesions. Looks like many will now pay for that and I hope they do. They are the scum of the earth. I hope God will have mercy on them but society does not need them.
 
One woman had a baby while in the traffic jam and is going to name her Katrina! So many times the govt leaders cried for them to get out and it was like crying wolf too many times until many turned a deaf ear to it! So sorry for all their destruction and grief.....may God have mercy on their souls and their situations! Other countries and our own govt are helping now and maybe many of them will be better off than they ever were! God works all things together for the good to them that love God and that are the called according to His purpose! Romans 8:28! And God's mercy endureth forever!!!

That is so true Henry. The world is a nasty place when you take God out of the equation. I know God is always there (here) but when people do not believe then "the ends justifies the means" becomes the law of the land.
I am glad I "got out of town" before the disaster struck. (figuratively speaking of course).
