VDI NUMBERS FOR TESORO DELEON ?

Woodchuck

New member
ANYBODY have VDI numbers for what coins, rings, etc show up on the Deleon as ? I saw info on it and can't find it now!

Thanks Dick but thats not what I'm looking for, somewhere theres a post where somebody, allready had what certain items fell under.

I think you would do better with your own air tests. Put one item at a time on a cardboard box and pass the coil over it at about 5" high.

Thanks Sandtrout for taking the time, and being NICE enough to pm me the answer I was looking for!

For others, here are the numbers I typically see.

95- copper penny and clad and silver coins.

80-85 zincolns

70-80 cruddy zincolns

55-70 tabs and other trash esp in the 60's

40-60 my gold wedding rings hit in this range.

37-42 nickles

20-60 gold can ring in here anywhere

4-20 has always been trash, esp foil for my Deleon

0- iron Note that large iron or big bent nails will also ring as 95 which can be annoying, as they even SOUND good.

I have also seen small silver (odd shaped charm) bounce around a lot in the 70-95 range. Happened the other night -- Thought I was getting a zincoln and maybe a copper penny but turned over a small sterling gymnastics charm.
