VDI# 41 to 45

I get a lot of this targets , I dig in pro , zero, 30 on, the signals always sound good, but are always iron, has any body dug anything good in this range

I personally haven't, on the recreation fields 42's have been tiny piece's of can slaw, and foil off of chewing gum.......45's have been those foil lined cardboard discs lining gatorade ? bottle tops. I've seen some posts that they have found tiny pierced earrings that VDI around the lower forty's....when I dig them, 41-45 and I usually do just so I don't have to listen to them again next week , I know its a hope and a prayer  cause I've dug hundreds and its been Maggie drawers so far. Then again you never know....................!

Sniffy I suspect this is an AT PRO International Post and I don't know if the VDI #'s corresponds to the same as ours but he found a gold ring that VDI in the low low 40's, I dug 15-20 in the 40-45 range today, but all I got was aluminum products

yes mine is an at pro international, but it doesnt change anything on reward to the vdi , i think so. May be the garrett just balanced the at for the european ground, which mean nothing , sicily look like africa and norway is another planet... but they know what they did.

anyway ...

i got my first gold ring in 5 years of sand dig. and the vdi was bout 40...45, and it was on the top of the sand .may be just half inch. . i was thinkin it was a caps or a bottletop or a foil... but it wasnt. ops i forgot...
on my forum in italy a member said he found a tiny gold braccelett very deep and the sound was 38 on the beginning .

have a good hunting day.

one more funny thing.

we bought at pro all togheter in the forum , a cobuy. i guess we had found those items cuz we're rookie. otherwise we would'nt found those with 250 ace.

happy day.

Maybe thats why i havent been digging any gold items i have been notching out 0---50 :help: wheres is the gold coming up ??

I hit on a 10 kt gold soccer charm last week VDI 47-48, so you're notching out gold for the nickels. Gold has a long range of VDI #'s ranging from size of item to purity of the gold, and whats the base metal of the alloy. Low 40's to 70's.

The religious ring I dug yesterday had a VDI of 48, but it's stainless steel, BUT you can bet for a couple of hours the Quarterhorse thought he had a white gold wedding band since that is what I was looking specifically for :cry::cry:

hi quarter

nice finds...u're very lucky...
the gold items , i dont think is a soccer charm , but something else like a basket charm . that wouldnt be a soccer ballon...i was a pro when i was young in italy...

anyway i feel happy for your finds. may GOD help u.

I've been not digging VDI# 60, all I seem to get is pull tabs, anything good there, I have dug a lot of buttons in the 47 to 54 range

Dug a 14k gold wedding band (7g) Sunday.

Fresh water beach, knee high in the water at 5" deep in the sandy bottom.

The VDI was a solid 60.

I also air and on top of the ground test very small to medium size gold @ 40 to 68 VDI.

Yes pull tabs do come in at the same range, but if you attack the target from all angles, different heights and swing speeds,

you can sometimes tell the difference. I also usually set Iron Disc. @ 32 iron audio on especially when checking a potential dig.

Good Hunting

Denny

4 gold rings 9ct and 13ct and a sovereign. All rang through in the high 50's - low 60's, so when the AT shows a target in the 60 mark my heart gets going! Unfortunately our old 20c pieces also ring up in that range as well as some old style pull tabs. I would never skip digging this range though. The AT I use is the US model.

hi island.
sorry for my ignorance ...what u meant for the word sovereign? a metal detector or something else? and on more question what's 9ct and 13ct?

thanks for share . and for the answer if u can.

Wildeagle77, Sorry 9k &13k - the common gold content of jewellery in NZ is a bit different then the US and I keep typing ct instead of k in error. By Sovereign I meant a 22k gold coin the AT Pro scored for me a few months ago.

I get a lot of hot rocks hitting in the 38-48 range, but have nabbed a few pewter targets in that range as well. No gold with the AT yet but I'm not surprised to see many gold finds coming in at the 40-50 range.

Hi, I found a 10K wedding ring that was a solid 40 in the sand and water at the edge of a fresh water beach. Not very deep.

thanks a lot island..
now i know one more thing...ehehhehe. i appreciate . happy hunting.
