VDI 14

Even though it was cool this morning my wife and I decided to make a quick hunt early to beat the crowds. We were able to hit a few spots and then it began to rain so we called it a day. I dug a nice gold 10K ring with blue stones and diamond chips. It was about 3 inches deep and gave solid VDI 14. I was using the 6" DD Excelerator coil. Well thanks for looking. HH Dennis in Idaho

Way to go Dennis, I'm glad to see some good finds being made. I'm retired but for the guys who have to work it has rained 3 week ends in a row. Today was a beautiful day, sunny and 63. We might get some posts today. Rob

Nice looking ring. Does everyone dig all the "junk" signals like that? I usually start out doing so, but get lazy after a while. I know it's time to call it a day when I don't want to dig the zinc penny signals anymore!

I remember seeing a post on one of the forums a while back that a DFX guy tuned out all the signals except from +2 to +26, or thereabouts. Wow, that would get frustrating in the parks real fast.

I guess if you were in a resort beach area where rich people shed all their trinkets, digging quarters would seem like a waste of time!

That's a very pretty ring you found. Wish Larry would find one in size 5 like that. It's always nice seeing the gold come out of the ground and coins too. Gotta love this hobby. It was a great day to be out also. Thanks for sharing!!! You need to get your wife to post her finds too. HH to all, Nancy

I know what you mean. I hate digging all those junk signals but the truth is
thats where some of your best stuff will be! Today I dug a ton of pull tabs and found only three dimes, a quarter, and one cent. Oh, and
a round thing that looks like a battery.
I am so jealous!!~!!:clapping:
Hey Robert I heard you found a silver ring the other day. How about showing it to us. HH Dennis in Idaho

I think its great when folks take the time to post photos of their finds on our forum. It helps to make the forum more interesting don't you think? Thanks for posting a photo of your finds Robert, I hope to see more. HH Dennis in Idaho

Here's one I found last week. VDI was 67, and I just knew it was another penny. It's stamped 925.

Here it pictured with some other finds I got this year.

If Monte is viewing, the 10k ring was found with the Classic ID I got from him. It still works great!

Thats a neat ring. Is it a childs ring? HH Dennis in Idaho
