I have been having a problem with the vco.I will turn it on and the next time I go out its off.Is there a way to keep it on all the time without checking the box every time. I go out.

which unit are we talking about?

That entry should not change, even if you remove the battery and each program should retain the last commands.

here is how you set VCO in any program, not that you don't do it right, just need to be on the same page.

menu/tab ------- touch twice

expert menu--------- enter

highlight (pinpoint audio) ------------ enter

VCO --------- put a check in it

close and back out of the menu's
It should stay in VCO and you should have an indication the progarm has been altered from factory default

let me know

Yes I done exactly the way you wrote it down checked box and turned it off and turned it back on its the same thing its unchecked.

Going to try and duplicate this because I did not know this was possible. Check your battery voltage, what program are you manipulating?

now that is strange.... all programs retain the last information even common. I would reset C&J to factory defaults now.

From the main screen Coin & Jewelry;

menu/tab...... twice

expert........enter

programs......enter

restore/load.......enter

name Coin & jewerly

from saved copy

menu/tab..... twice

enter

That's all I got buddy.... might be time to trip on over to the Whites forum with this issue. http://forums.whiteselectronics.com/forum.php

You can talk to the actual progarmers at whites forum which is nice but beware... make no mention of any non-whites products, post no pictures or vids containing non-whites products, do nothing non-white at all or you will get removed so fast your head will spin...... LOL

they put way too much starch in their shorts over there but they will be intriqued at your delima for sure

report back because I sure don't like the sound of this issue, I just bought a V3i

Something is not right with your program for sure but if you switch to the Hi Pro program, the VCO is turned on there until you get your bug fixed.

This is the first I've heard of anything like this happening.

1) You check the VCO box.
2) You go into pinpoint and know that VCO is on because you can hear it
3) You turn the machine off
4) You turn the machine on, and VCO is off for the same program.

Is that correct? If so, give a call to White's. This should not be happening. Is it only with VCO? Or do other settings revert back? What about VCO on other programs (turning it on if defaulted off, or vice versa)? Try a couple others too before calling just so they know where to look.

Try a "hard reset" before you ship it off for repair, this may be your last option.

sorry to hear about this bro

It doesn't hurt to try but if you are talking about taking the battery out while on, it does not work on the V's......... but then again, you are not suppost to lose setting changes either. :shrug:

There isn't a hard reset for the V3i. It won't hurt anything but according to Carl and Anne, a hard reset will have no effect. A hard reset is not a Master Reset.

Read what Anne listed carefully. Is the situation as she listed?
