VCO in Tesjon and Vaquero

I have few question about that.

Do Tejon has VCO in dicrimination mode or just for all metal?
Do Vaquero has VCO on all metal mode or just for pinpoint-allmetal?

Do VCO helps you in target separation?

Thanks in advance.

Jahu, the vaquero has VCO in the all metal not in the discrimination mode I like the VCO in all metal as it helps in determining how big is an object, and how deep probably the disc is better at separating targets as you can disc them out like Iron and still hit a gold ring .

With the Tejon the VCO can be run in disc mode.

Im ignorant and want to know as much about my Vaquero as possible. What is VCO?

[edited] I found info on vco. I guess that is what makes the high piercing sound in all metal.

"any of today's metal detectors incorporate VCO (voltage controlled oscillator) into the all-metal pinpoint mode. VCO is driven by target voltage to produce varying audio pitch responses for target pinpointing and identification. Although VCO may be difficult and unpleasant to use on large shallow targets, it can be more of an advantage when multiple targets occupy the same pinpointing zone compared to monotone audio. With VCO, by narrowing the target area significantly, it is possible to hear the pitch peaks of two targets in close proximity more clearly."

Hi all,
thanks for info.
Basically i think i know what it is and just theoretically what for. I also assume that it can give extra info in disc, however i am just novice. What is bother me the most is it really useful from yours perspective.

One more think to WV62. Are you 100% sure that tejon have it? Because i in product details i can only note VCO in all metal mode not in disc.
I also have heard from someone that tejon have such a possibility as you said, however i can not verify that. Instead of this i have found that Shark and Cortes have VCO in disc mode.

One more time thanks for your help and ask for more :)

I knew I shouldn't have trusted my memory, the Tejon does not run in VCO in disc mode only in either all metal mode. I run my Tejon in disc with the VCO on but that only selects a preset tone and the VCO doesn't kick in until I toggle to pinpoint all metal.

Sorry for the incorrect info.
