Vaquero's simple finds today

Zipped around the yard today and found a few things. Nothing fantastic but anything you dig up is frankly kind of cool. The oldest coin was a 1946 wheat penny and I did manage to come up with a nickel in the mix. The oddest object was a tiny metal button. I've found a few of these over the last year, not sure of the vintage. The Vaquero is a nice machine and it runs very smooth. I can see with practice almost all of the features found in a screen style machine so far as information can actually be duplicated with proper handling using this unit.

I agree. I started with Tesoro beep and dig detectors, then got a couple of TID machines. With practice and hours in the field, I've gotten nearly as accurate with my discrimination settings and audible nuances as the machine with screens althought I admit it might take a tad longer per target. In either event, there's no truly certain ID until the target is retrieved. Glad you're likeing the V. I enjoy using mine.
Merry Xmas.
