Vaquero with the higher tone

Arturo de Zorro

New member
I have notice when I go to the pinpoint to locate the target and if its a coin the tone will stay the same pitch over the target as well off to the side of the target. But when I pinpoint over iron the pitch is higher then of to the side of the iron, my Raccoon (Tejon) does not change pitch over iron when pinpoint is used.

Do you find it easy to pinpoint with the Tejon or is it an aquired learning curve?

you get a good signal and if it pinpoint at the same spot the odds are in your favor its a non ferrous metal. Did not notice any difference in pinpointing between the Cowboy (vaquero) and the Raccoon (Tejon).

it means badger but here in the states it's raccoon, You can type in The Handbook of Texas Online in your search engine then select Tejon,Texas and read about it or copy this and input it in your search engine, http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/TT/hvt13.html
