vaquero vs tejon

I own a vaquero now for about 6 months and i really like it. I also have a whites DFX that i am going to sell because i rarely use it now that i have the Vaquero, but i would like to have a second detector for taking out friends and for a backup. What do you guys think, should i buy a tejon as my new main machine or stick with the Vaquero and save some money buying a used silver saber? All opinions welcome.

Just my opinion, since I am sold on the HOT technology from Tesoro. Here's what I would do, keep the Vaquero and buy a Cibola as a back up. I use an MXT and love it, but I often grab the Cibola for most hunts, and I am thinking about buying a Vaquero and using my MXT for prospecting only. I think Tesoro scored big time on the High Output Technology. You can't go wrong with a Tejon either, I just noticed my friends with limited detector experience get confused with ground balancing the first couple time out, that's where the Cibola is great if you are letting a hunting buddy use it.

Beginners to the hobby will appreciate simplicity. The Cibola fits that ticket well yet still has plenty of punch. On the other hand, the Tejon is like the V on steroids; if you like the V you will really like the T. Tough call. Maybe you should buy both!

Numlock: could you tell me why you didn't like the dfx.
I am trying to decide between the vaquero and the dfx.
I'm leaning toward the vaquero because the dfx sound to complicated.
Thanks,
Randy
