vaquero vs tejon

All depends.... If you want the deepest machine, it is the Tejon.... If you won't a machine that is easier to use and smoother, it would be the Vaquero.... While there is a learning curve to find out how to properly use the Tejon, sticking with it, will produce a lot of good, deep targets...... Ground balance slightly positive, Sens. as high as she will run stable, headphones , and move the coil slower than normal...... listen for the low, smooth sounds..... Have fun,

I have been using the Tejon and I enjoy the depth also and the trigger pinpointer. I will tell you from my own experience, tone ID is wonderful but the Tejon will find the ones the tone ID instrument missed. The Vaquero is an enjoyable instrument, smooth and light and it also will find the ones the tone ID unit missed. It depends on the kind of hunter you are too. Be sure to go to your local dealer and ask to try them out and swing them to see how they feel. Best to you!
