vaquero vs tejon which is better

I'd have to say the Tejon - only because I have that one.
I know, not fair, but the Tejon is one of my take along machines for relic and it has served me well at times. Small 5.75 coils (both concentric & wide scan) for trashy areas and depend on mineralization.

Maybe someone who has both the T and V can chime in for a legit comparison since I don't have the V. But I have heard nothing but good about the Vaquero.

I've had both and can say I like both. The dual discrimination and the audio tone adjustment is the most important features of the Tejon for me. Just my thoughts, but the Tejon will hit a lot harder (louder) on nickel and gold where the Vaquero would do better with silver and highly conductive metals.

Hey Tab-nabit, when MDing a trashy area, whats the deciding factor to use the the 5.75 con or the 5.75 widescan. I have a 5.75 con for my Vaq., but have never used the widescan.
