vaquero vs. musketeer

I would like some opinions on which of these two detectors would be better suited to hunt around old homesites and would handle iron masking the best. I'm looking for mostly coins, buttons, bullets, and jewelry around these areas.
From what I've read on posts, they are both very good detectors with great detection depth.
If I get the vaquero, I will probably get the 5.75 coil to use around these areas. Would this addition add to the advantage of getting the tesoro over the minelab?
Thanks in advance for any and all opinions.

Both are great detectors. The Vaquero is far better balanced I would say, and lighter. The Advantage if a lot of bang for the buck. Tough choice. Of course the Vaquero comes with a lifetime warranty, and uses one 9 volt battery, but the Advantage is a little cheaper, unless you upgrade to the pro package. You'd make great finds with either. I know this doesn't help.......John

Thanks Shenandoah digger,
I have only tried each machine just a short time and I don't think the ground balance was working on the musky. I was using a musky xs and did not get threshold when holding the detector above the ground.
The vaquero on the other hand was easy to ground balance and I did like the location of the control box more than the musky.
Apprarently you are in the Shenandoah valley by your name.
I am over in Charlottesville and have only been doing this for about 6 months.
I am currently using an X-terra 50 and have found quite a few things that I never dreamed of around this location, but I guess you never know.
Thanks again for the response, fwcrawford
