Headed to a cleared lot today, and took the V with 5.75" coil. Others did better than I, but it wasn't a total loss. I did get this token:

Another one made of aluminum. They get so eat up with corrosion - I really dont like this metal....

The other stuff looked like this - -

Just the usual suspects, nothing extraordinary. Like I said, some good stuff was turned up... but not by yours truly! :(

Been able to date the bread token? I like being able to put something at a certain place and time with enough info. I like stuff like that, nice find.

Early twentieth century, 1905-1930. That's just a guess from what I know of such things. Aluminum, while known for thousands of years as a compound (it is the third most common element in the earths crust), didn't come into common use until the first decade of the 20th Century. But it didnt take long for it to get going, and there are many, many tokens made of it. The style of lettering and the price of the bread it was good for, place it pretty firmly in the first 3 decades of the last century.
