Vaquero Tips.

Looking for tips on using the Vaquero?

Turn sensitivity knob all the way up (Supertune) to be able to detect very thin chains.

Eyeballed this very tiny 14K cross laying on top of the wood chips. After I saw it I ran the stock coil (Vaquero) over it, wouldn't detect it at sensitivity 6 -7. It did pick it up when supertuned. Funny, many times I dug much smaller items (brass shoe lace eyelets) that were about 2 - 3" deep at sensitivity 6 or 7. Very thin chains need supertune mode too. I almost never use supertune because of all the false? signals I get, but will give it a try at the beach dry sand.

Running in SuperTune has its dangers, too. Do it when there is alot of trash around at your own peril. Better to know your target suite and adjust your DISC accordingly. In woodchips, I run at below foil and turn the SENS up to just under 10.
