This is why I detect. This is better than silver, better than gold!! WW1 was a big piece of Canadian history, so it's especially rewarding to find something like this. This is the second WW1 metal/badge that I have found over the years.

Historians say that Canada became a country during the 1WW. My grandfather fought Vimy Ridge signed up under age. I have a hat badge like yours but not the same and I have it displayed with his picture, a uniformed 15 year old boy solider.
Was your badge found in Canada or overseas?
