Vaquero relic hunt

Went back to an Indian campsite a couple of days ago and found a few more relics with the Vaquero. The iron hoe was found at a depth of 20in., was hoping I had found a storage pit but there were no other relics in the hole. Also found a couple of Indian made bracelets, a Dragoon button, Infantry button, several lead bullets and numerous other pieces. What surprised me was all the small lead shot that I was finding, most of the round lead bullets I find are 54 cal. and I have found well over 100. The small lead shot I had not found that much of before.

20" is deep you must have gophers out thear , how was the vaq set up ?

No gophers that I've ever seen. A lot of times they would bury stuff in storage pits but not sure if this was a pit. At 20 in. deep it could very well have been though.
The Vaq. was super tuned in disc. mode; just above all metal. In all metal, I don't seem to get the depth that I do when super tuned. Could be my lousy hearing though.

That's a lot of lead and the hoe looks really old. Nice going!
