Anyone have any results on the 10x12" coil ?Thinking about buying one for the vaquero:shrug:Anyone have any feedback please?cjm

I have only heard they kinda unbalance it, makes it feel "nose" heavy. The 11x8 is good weight wise though. Both are open field coils where not a lot of target are in the ground. I found the 11x8 is not a coil for even mildly trashy sites, imagine the 12x10 would not be either. Yet, i'm not a pro or claim to be either...

I had that coil on my Vaquero a few years back. I did not like it at all. The 11x8 on the Deleon felt much better balanced.

Love mine.
Doesn't feel all that heavy or unbalanced to me, heavier than the smaller coils but nothing I can't swing all day and the extra weight does help to keep it level on the ground while searching for treasure on an even landscape.
Fast as any I have used on my Vaq and covers a lot of ground very efficiently.
I paid for mine with one gold ring I found easily while I was comically running around a park swinging like a madman at warp speed at the end of a hunt looking for just one more Hail Mary great target...and I found one.
The new 11X8" might match it pound for pound, it might even work a little better some say and it is lighter but I have no experience with it at all and since I have the 12" I entertain no thoughts on replacing it because mine seems to work just fine in my sites for the kind of hunting I do.
If I was getting a big new coil now I would probably go with the new one but in my experience if the choice was a new 11" vs. a great price on a good used 12" I would still go with the 12".
But that is me.

I have that DD coil for my outlaw and don't have any issues with it. Although it's not often I find an area clear enough to use it haha. But it's obviously going to be heavier than an 8" donut lol. But not bad.

I found the 11 x 8 rsd had the same depth as the 12 x 10 so I sold it.lol

Makes sense welgrund.
Mine came with my 3 pack, and got the whole package for a steal. Not sure what I'd pick if I was buying spearately. Probably the 11/8
