how difficult is it to convert a manual ground balance to a fixed/manual ground the same as the laser trident on the vaquero? blowfly hh see ya!

Hi,
I guess You should add a trimmer for the fixed gb and a pot (1 turn 50 khom) with a switch to swap from Fixed to Manual GB.
All the best,
Ale

:confused:Why would anyone turn a manual to a fixed, blowfly are you ok?!

That's my thought too. WHY?
BB

Install a rubber O-ring under the knob and it will be a fixed ground balance , but you could still move it if needed

hi bb,no i haven't lost my mind.i was reading about the laser trident 11 which has the ability to
hunt in fixed or manually ground balanced and i was curious about how difficult it would be to
adapt the same system on my vaquero.this would give me two detectors in one at the flick of
a switch so to speak.i can't carry a back up detector on my bike and it wouldn't be safe to leave
it with the bike while i wandered out of sight detecting.there are places here i don't need to gb
but could be kept as a back up.more versatile around i would think. blowfly

Hey blowfly

It takes me about one minute to GB any of my Tesoros, I would'nt have it any other way. MHO....................Hombre

hi hombre.obvious none of you are listening to my question?if i could afford it, i'd buy either the cibola or the golden umax and keep the vaquero for places that need gb funtions. where i operate i don't need gb.i just need a simple turn on and go.why then you might ask did i buy the vaquero, because i was new to this hobby and everyone who knew more than me said this is what i should have.don't get me wrong it's a great detector.just recently the vaquero had a hick up and while it was getting fixed i was forced into using my 1983 model silver sabre and i was finding heaps of good stuff with it.it slowly dawned on me that where i operate i didn't need gb. and that's why i asked the question. blowfly see ya!

I'm kool with that!
